Chiron to Train DoD IO Professionals

The Department of Defense (DoD) awarded Chiron Technology Services a $50 million contract on Jan. 10. Under the five-year contract, Chiron will provide information operations (IO) role-based training to DoD IO professionals. The training will focus on cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat emulation, and network defense. Chiron is an information security engineering and training firm based in Columbia, Md.

Honeywell Subsidiary to Manage Sandia National Labs

The Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration announced that a subsidiary of Honeywell International will manage the Sandia National Laboratories under a $2.6 billion contract. The subsidiary, National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, will work alongside Northrup Grumman and the Universities Research Association in their management. Sandia National Laboratories specializes in national security and nuclear weapons.
