The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced Thursday the application window for the second round of its COVID-19 Telehealth Program is now open until May 6.

The second round of the COVID-19 Telehealth Program is a $249.95 million Federal initiative, which builds upon the $200 million included in the CARES Act.

“I’m pleased to announce that eligible health care providers can now apply for the second half of funding for the FCC’s COVID-19 Telehealth Program,” Acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel said in a press release. “This program has helped provide a lifeline to health care providers by expanding connected health services during the pandemic. I’d like to extend my continued gratitude to our FCC team for quickly standing up the second phase of this important program.”

The COVID-19 Telehealth program aims to support health care providers through their continued use of telecommunications services, information services, and necessary connected devices during the pandemic.

Those who would like to apply can do so online through the FCC application portal.
