Bryan Ware, assistant director for cybersecurity at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), is leaving his post at the agency, a CISA spokesperson confirmed to MeriTalk.
Ware has been a top official at CISA since early 2019, serving as Assistant Director for Cyber, Infrastructure, and Resilience Policy before taking on his current role leading one of CISA’s six main divisions. Prior to his time in government, Ware founded an artificial intelligence company and was the CEO of Haystax from 2016 to 2018.
During his time in government, Ware worked to improve CISA’s data management, emphasizing the secure sharing of information and modernizing the agency’s environment. Ware also helped secure government during the COVID-19 pandemic, working with other agencies to provide guidance to healthcare organizations and ensure that CISA held to its mission on securing Federal networks during the rapid expansion of telework.
