Nancy Sieger, chief technology officer (CTO) at the Department of Treasury, will be stepping down from that post later this year after 35 years of government service, she said in a LinkedIn post.
Sieger will be leaving the CTO position in April. No announcement has been made on a possible replacement.
“Earlier this month, I celebrated another exciting year as a civil servant. Over my more than 35 years in Government, I had the privilege of implementing ground breaking legislation, improving services to the public, coaching and mentoring an outstanding federal workforce, while demonstrating that Government can deliver and should be invested in,” stated Sieger.
Prior to serving as CTO at the Treasury Department since last year, Sieger was chief information officer (CIO) at the IRS for four years.
“It was an honor of a lifetime to serve as the IRS CIO and as the CTO at the Department of the Treasury and I am incredibly proud of the work I’ve done,” stated Sieger.
