Teresa Carlson, currently vice president of Worldwide Public Sector and Industries at Amazon Web Services (AWS), will be leaving the company after more than a decade for the newly created position of president and chief growth officer at Splunk.
Carlson will start her new role on April 19, which will be focused on driving and growing Splunk’s business transformation and cloud-first initiatives.
“I am thrilled to join the passionate and talented team at Splunk, and motivated by this opportunity to bring exciting cloud and data solutions to global customers across all industries,” Carlson said in a press release. “Together, we will build on Splunk’s legacy of innovation as one of the fastest growing companies in the history of enterprise software.”
At Splunk, Carlson will report to President and CEO Doug Merritt, who said Carlson will “be an excellent addition to our team” and bring “deep industry, software, and cloud knowledge.”
Prior to joining AWS in 2010, Carlson served as Microsoft’s vice president of Federal Sales and Operations.
