Fraud attacks from mobile devices and applications have grown in 2018, according to RSA’s Q2 Quarterly Fraud Report. RSA reported 9,185 rogue mobile applications, a 13 percent increase over Q1. The increase in mobile app attacks led the category to overtake trojan horse financial malware attacks as the second most common type of attack detected by RSA, behind phishing. The growth in mobile fraud extends to transactions as well, as RSA reported that mobile devices made up 71 percent of fraudulent transactions.
