Rob Joyce has been named director and deputy national manager for national security systems at Cybersecurity Directorate within the National Security Agency’s (NSA) Central Security Service (CSS).

In January 2021, NSA named Joyce the agency’s director of cybersecurity, replacing Anne Neuberger after she was tapped to serve as deputy national security advisor for cyber and emerging technology on President Biden’s National Security Council (NSC).

Previously, Joyce served as a senior United States liaison officer in London for the NSA, and as NSA’s senior advisor for cybersecurity strategy.

Joyce has worked at NSA since 1989, holding various leadership positions including the chief of tailored access operations (TAO) from 2013 to 2017.
