The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is taking steps to move all 4,000 of its employees to cloud-based email, according to a recent press release. To do so, they’ve selected Unisys through a contract worth up to $11.2 million over the course of five years.
“We are pleased that the OCC chose Unisys to assist the agency’s foray into the cloud,” said Casey Coleman, group vice president for civilian agencies at Unisys Federal. “We intend to leverage our market leadership, experience and expertise in helping Federal agencies move to the cloud, and we look forward to helping the OCC achieve significant benefits through this program.”
Unisys has some experience transitioning Federal email to the cloud, as they were contracted in 2010 to help the General Services Administration (GSA) to become the first Federal agency to move all of its employees to a cloud-based email service.
