The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has awarded four companies a spot on a new $794.1 million multi-vendor contract to support the agency’s research and development (R&D) services and directorate, the GEOINT agency announced on Jan. 26.

The four companies awarded a spot on the five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract are Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. and Solis Applied Science.

According to the GEOINT agency, the four companies will compete for task orders launched under the contract’s purview.

Task orders under the contract’s purview will include the development, maturation, testing and integration of R&D concepts into functional prototypes, transition of developed capabilities into an operational capability, and provision of cloud environments for development activities.

Other supported projects include research into foundational geospatial-intelligence, advanced phenomenologies and analytic technologies.

The first task order for the IDIQ will be completed in February 2024.
