The U.S. Navy has awarded a new contract to General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) for its SeaPort NxG contract vehicle. The multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract holds a total value of $5 billion, and includes a five-year base period with one five-year option, the company said. The contract will allow GDIT to compete for individual task orders for Naval Sea Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, the Office of Naval Research, and the U.S. Marine Corps. Each of the individual task orders will require GDIT to perform engineering services and program support.
