GAI named Dell EMC Partner of the Year

Government Acquisitions Inc. (GAI) was named the Dell EMC 2016 Partner of the Year, a distinction that provides them with expertise in hardware, software, and services to more easily work with their customers. As a Dell Partner, GAI will receive rewards for education and training, rebates for Premier Partners, expanded deal registration terms, financial incentives, and marketing and technical assistance. “We are extremely proud to be named the 2016 Dell EMC Federal Partner of the Year,” said Jay Lambke, president of GAI. “The outstanding partnership between GAI and Dell EMC allows us to deliver market leading technology solutions focused on supporting the critical missions of our Federal customers.”

 

California-San Diego to Tackle Cybersecurity Practices

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) awarded $1,356,071 to the University of California-San Diego on Oct. 25. Under the contract, the university’s researchers will develop ways for cybersecurity experts to more accurately assess the Internet’s vulnerabilities. S&T’s funding is part of its  Internet Measurement and Attack Modeling (IMAM) project, a collaboration with academics to discover solutions for better cybersecurity practices.

 

DHS First Responders Partner With Public Television

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate’s (S&T) First Responders Group (FRG) announced a partnership with America’s Public Television Stations (APTS) on Oct. 12. Under the contract, APTS, nonprofit organization of public television stations that operates in all 50 states, will try to leverage datacasting technology to FRG. Datacasting allows safety officials to transmit voice messages, videos, and images over television signals to a targeted audience.
