Georgia Tech to Research Department of Energy Project
The Department of Energy awarded Georgia Tech Research Corporation $1.125 million as part of the agency’s Photovoltaic Research and Development funding program. Georgia Tech’s project involves advancing manufacturable silicon cell technologies. The multiyear project was launched Sept. 14.
Lockheed Martin Gets DHS Security Contract
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awarded Lockheed Martin a $395 million contract to update its security operations center services. This award is part of DHS’ Next Generation Security Operations Center services contract. Lockheed Martin will be tasked with updating DHS networks against cyber intruders.
