The Program Support Center (PSC), a part of the Department of Health and Human Services, issued a request for proposals on Thursday to procure Intelligent Automation/Artificial Intelligence (IAAI) solutions services and products. PSC is seeking to establish a contract vehicle that will offer artificial intelligence, automation, and other emerging technology services.
These IAAI solutions are along the lines of blockchain/distributive ledger technology, microservices, machine learning, natural language processing, and robotic process automation.
“PSC seeks to establish a contract vehicle that enables PSC Contracting Officers to order for HHS, or on behalf of other agencies, to quickly develop, procure and adopt innovative technical solutions across the full spectrum of technology types: disruptive, breakthrough, incremental and sustaining,” wrote PSC in the proposal.
The contract will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a maximum of $49 million for the entire period of performance. The IDIQ contract also has a base length of five years.
“PSC believes that IAAI solutions will be doing everything from reducing backlog and cutting costs to performing functions; such as predicting fraudulent transactions and identifying critical suspects via facial recognition, which are considered difficult for an individual to complete on their own,” the PSC wrote.
