The General Services Administration (GSA) anticipates awarding a contract on behalf of the Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) research arm for expert guidance to support DoD’s cloud migration efforts.
In a Jan. 6 sources sought post on beta.SAM.gov, GSA said it expects to award a single award contract either as an open market contract or under the new consolidated Multiple Award Schedule. GSA continued to say that the order will provide subject matter expertise in support of the migration of Defense Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Innovation Portal (DSIP) from its current location in Defense Technical Information Center to Cloud One in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) CIO IT regulations and policies; and to support development and deployment of a DevSecOps environment that “enables application development and accreditation at speed and scale integrated with Defensive Cyberspace Operations.”
Specifically, the support will include: consulting and direct support to implement migration of DSIP to Cloud One; documenting the planned course of action; coordination with U.S. Air Force Cloud One & Platform One as required to achieve account, approved architecture, and security; design/development/delivery/management of Defensive Cyber Operations; and implementation and support for secure privileged and administrative access using NSA approved cybersecurity solutions to DSIP’s hosting environment.
GSA noted that this sources sought notice is not to procure cloud migration services, but rather for expert advice regarding the specific technical requirements needed to migrate DSIP to Cloud One.
