The Department of Energy (DoE) has appointed Greg Sisson the agency’s permanent chief information security officer (CISO).

According to his LinkedIn, Sisson served as DoE’s acting CISO since September 2020 but took on the title of CISO last month.

Previously, Sisson served as DoE’s deputy CISO and director of cyber operations. Before joining DoE, Sisson served as chief of staff and the deputy director of operations (DJ3) at Joint Force Headquarters Department of Defense Information Network (JFHQ-DODIN).

JFHQ-DODIN is a component of United States Cyber Command and executes command and control of DoD information network operations and defensive cyberspace operations globally.
