The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C) announced it had awarded CSRA a contract for $52 million on Nov. 21.

Under this single-award contract, which covers a four-year period, CSRA will improve the security of the country’s cyber and communications infrastructure and provide technical support to CS&C. The company will also help CS&C in creating strategies and policies related to cyber risks.

CSRA, based in Falls Church, Va., offers cloud-related IT services to Federal agencies. CS&C, a branch within the National Protection and Programs Directorate,  works to prevent breaches to the critical infrastructure.

“Every day DHS makes strides toward a more stable and stronger national cyber and communication infrastructure,” said Sally Sullivan, executive vice president of CSRA’s homeland security group, in a CSRA press release. “As one of DHS’s leading IT services providers, we are leveraging the expertise of our outstanding teams who have gained critical insight and experience over the last several years in supporting this challenging mission. We look forward to introducing new guidelines and solutions to further strengthen our customer’s cybersecurity posture.”
