The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is seeking information for a new, $1 billion contract to provide technical analytical support services (TASS), according to a recent request for information.

Beginning in August 2023, the TASS vehicle will be a multiple awards indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract anticipated to fund at least five to 10 firms, and an expectation of a five-year period of performance.

DARPA is inviting both small and large businesses to compete for the award, requiring services to be provided in three categories:

  • Technical support: subject matter expert support, research, and development program oversight support, operational and technical research analyses, acquisition analysis and support, and assessments and evaluation support;
  • Analytical support: technical office front office support, business financial management, executive assistance, travel management, graphics, website, meeting planning, and staffing support; and
  • Program event support: assisting the government in managing and executing program events, ad hoc special projects, studies, assessments, and analyses of DARPA mission areas and problems.

“The level of effort anticipated for this contract corresponds to the amount of research activity at DARPA. The Contractor shall be of the size, equity, and experience to manage the entire portfolio of services across several task orders,” the RFI said. “This contract will require contractors to provide expertise and experience to accomplish a broad range of technical and analytical services.”

DARPA’s RFI will close at 3 p.m. EST on Nov. 7.
