Several key Senate and House technology and telecom leadership positions were announced on Wednesday. In the Senate, Sen. John Neely Kennedy, R-La., will replace Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., as Financial Services subcommittee chair on the Appropriations Committee. The Financial Services subcommittee controls funding for the Federal Communications Commission, among other areas. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., will chair the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, taking over from Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.  On the other side of the Capitol, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., announced the following appointments to the House Energy and Commerce Committee: Nanette Diaz Barragán, D- Calif.; Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-Del.; Robin Kelly, D-Ill.; Ann McLane Kuster, D-N.H.; Donald McEachin, D- Va.; Tom O’Halleran, D-Ariz.; Darren Soto, D-Fla.; and Marc Veasey, D-Texas.
