The Department of Defense said on August 30 that technology services provider CACI has won a $5.71 billion blanket purchase agreement from the U.S. Air Force to provide enterprise IT services under the Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaas) Wave 1 contract.
CACI was chosen for the BPA among a total of four bidders.
Work on the contract will be performed mostly in Chantilly, Va., and is expected to be completed by August 2032.
The Air Force said last year that Wave 1 contract aims to provide Air Force and U.S. Space Force personnel with “an improved and consolidated service desk and catalog for more than 700,000 users worldwide.”
“Following implementation, Airmen and Guardians will experience faster login times and higher functioning devices,” the Air Force said last year. “With Wave 1, devices will include automated and non-invasive compliance checks, integrated security management, improved troubleshooting, and perpetual device refresh and hardware updates.”
The Airforce said Wave 1 aims “to provide a standardized, innovative and agile information technology service across the Air and Space Forces,” and drive “behaviors designed to enhance mission effectiveness using worldwide commercial business services and best practices.”
CACI will be the contractor team arrangement (CTA) team lead on the BPA, and will provide services with other CTA members including: Bowhead Logistics Management; Cartridge Technologies; InSequence; Cask NX; CDIT LLC, Vision Information Technology Consultants; Oneida Technical Solutions; Enhanced Veterans Solutions, and Expansia Group.
