The Chicago-based Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS), according to a request for information (RFI) on Beta.Sam.gov.

The RFI explained the lab is looking into the feasibility of a technical solution that will serve as the primary LMS for the entire organization. The RFI noted the current LMS has limitations in its abilities to expand the use of the software from just compliance and safety-focused training. The lab is looking to modernize its LMS to centralize tracking and completion of training, content management, registration, communications, and reporting.

Specifically, the new LMS must “deliver a means for training completion, search capabilities, tracking completion rates, and recommending training modules based on skills and interests.” The LMS needs to provide training modules based on job type and responsibilities along with a variety of learning resources focused on professional development.

In their responses, vendors need to indicate the estimated cost for the application license and any potential implementation or configuration costs.

Responses are due March 26. The Argonne National Laboratory said that vendors that meet the requirements of the lab may be invited to present their solution between May and June of this year.
