The U.S. Air Force has released its final solicitation for a $5.3 billion contract vehicle that will aid warfighters in supporting and enabling the Defense Department’s entire cyber framework.
Enterprise Cyber Capabilities (EC2) is a ten-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract issued by the Air Combat Command that will be awarded to multiple winners – specifically in both unrestricted and small business pools.
“This effort enables [Acquisition Management and Integration Center] customers to build, operate, support, defend, extend, and engage in cyberspace, thus ensuring US warfighters maintain the information advantage over our adversaries,” a notice posted to Sam.gov on Sept. 26 reads.
EC2 is expected to cover a wide range of cyber capabilities support services, including threat assessment, software and tool development, and intrusion detection and prevention.
The proposal period closes on Oct. 26, and the contract is projected to be awarded to companies in late November of this year.
