The Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) announced Oct. 10 new members to its Advisory Council for 2019-2020. CDT is a nonprofit which advocates for online civil liberties and human rights, as well as keeping the Internet “open, innovative, and free.” The new members come from technology companies, non-profits organizations, academia, and think tanks, including Microsoft, Cloudflare, Mozilla, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Data For Black Lives. Returning members include representatives from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Facebook, Verizon, Amazon, Twitter, and the Consumer Technology Association.
