The U.S. Department of the Interior (DoI) issued a solicitation today seeking a contractor to maintain, expand, and promote the production of National Archive Data and Culture (NADAC).

The contractor must include the addition of the following into NADAC, while also making them freely accessible to the public:

  • New datasets;
  • Online analytics tools;
  • Technical assistance to users;
  • Data visualizations; and
  • Links to related literature.

DoI would also like the NADAC to be connected to well-known resources familiar to researchers across academic disciplines.

“To encourage data-sharing, the archive should also be affiliated with or linked to other data aggregators or well-known academic institutions,” the solicitation said.

Responses are due by May 3.
