The General Services Administration (GSA) announced on Tuesday that the agency is condensing its 24 multiple award schedules, including IT Schedule 70, into a single schedule for products and services, in a move that it says will simplify acquisitions for Federal agencies.

“Reforming our schedules will improve customer service, make it easier for small businesses to access the schedules program, reduce duplication for all our vendors, and allow GSA’s workforce to focus on delivering solutions,” said GSA Administrator Emily Murphy in a statement.

The reform, which is part of GSA’s broader Federal Marketplace strategy, will bring the $31 billion spent on multiple award schedules into a single contract, offering a single-entry point for contractors and reducing duplicative efforts.

“A single schedule for products and services will make it easier for customers to find and purchase the solutions they need to meet their respective missions,” said GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner, Alan Thomas.

GSA noted that the reform was driven by feedback from both agencies and the private sector.

“We have engaged with and listened to our stakeholders and will continue to work together as we move forward with the MAS consolidation process,” said MAS Program Management Office Director, Stephanie Shutt.

GSA will offer more details during the agency’s industry day event set for December 12.
