The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) has appointed Sanjeev Purohit as deputy chief information officer (CIO) and acting chief technology officer (CTO) within the agency’s Office of the Deputy CIO and Office of the CIO and Chief Privacy Officer (OCIO).

Purohit is replacing Julie Berarducci, who left the deputy CIO and acting CTO position in October.

Previously, Purohit served as the deputy director of the Infrastructure Operations Services Branch within FDIC’s Division of Information Technology since April 2021. Prior to that role, he served for over 15 years as the assistant director of the Infrastructure Operations Services Branch.

He also served as the assistant director and acting CTO at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for 11 years, according to his LinkedIn.
