Vicki Schmanske is the Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer for Leidos’s Health Group. The Health Group is supported by nearly 7,000 employees in the areas of healthcare IT, electronic health records, advanced data analytics, health and life sciences, and clinical research. Prior to this role, she served as vice president of Operations for Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions (IS&GS) programs under strategic review in the Civil, Defense & Intelligence Solutions (CDI) lines of business. CDI served the Civil, DoD, Intelligence Community and
numerous international customers in areas such as enterprise IT, cyber security, transportation, energy, health care, space exploration, geospatial solutions, situational awareness and advanced analytics.
Ms. Schmanske has more than 30 years of systems engineering, software/information systems development, program management and Enterprise IT services experience. During her career with Leidos and Lockheed Martin IS&GS, she held several significant program management and engineering leadership roles within civil, defense, intelligence and systems integration organizations, including: vice president of Civil IT & Security Solutions (IT&SS); vice president of Technical Operations-Development for the Defense product line; vice president and deputy, Defense Enterprise IT Solutions; and, vice president, Space Command and Control Systems.
Ms. Schmanske has a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics/computer science from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in information systems from George Washington University. An active member of the community, she serves as the executive leader of the Leidos Washington, D.C. Heart Walk campaign, and is a board member of The Women’s Center. In addition, she serves on the AFCEA Bethesda board of directors as vice president of Education; is the Leidos Corporate Executive for the University of Virginia; is a pro-tempore advisor and past president of the University of Virginia Engineering Foundation board of directors; and serves as a catechist for her local church. She and her husband Brian live with their twin daughters, Nathalie and Nicole, in McLean, Va.
