Paul Beckham

Paul Beckham is an executive with more than 25 years of information technology experience in both the private and public sectors. He serves as the Division Director of Systems Engineering at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

Prior to serving as Division Director, Beckham was the Branch Chief for Enterprise Engineering in OCIO and the IT Director for the Division of Federal Employees Compensation in the Office of Workers Compensation Programs at DOL.

Additional positions included consulting for the Employment and Training Administration’s Unemployment Insurance Service in addition to working as both a Solutions Architect for the Wage and Hour Division and a Systems Analyst for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs at DOL.

Under his leadership, Beckham directs IT modernization projects including Unified Communications – providing VoIP enterprise technologies, and DOL Cloud Smart – migrating enterprise mission critical applications to the commercial cloud. He collaborates with Department leadership, the Office of Management and Budget, and key stakeholders.

He also advanced the Congressional Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) scorecard for data center consolidation by three full letter grades during his tenure as Acting Chief Technology Officer.

Beckham earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He holds senior-level Federal Acquisition for Program and Project Manager (FAC-P/PM) Level III and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Level III certifications.
