CDM and Eggs Breakfast – Next Phase: May 18, 2017
DHS’ continuous diagnostics and mitigation (CDM) program, now in its fourth year, continues to be at the top of the government cyber security agenda. Phase I is being implemented, Phase II is in process, and Phase III is about to be underway. As we look towards the future of CDM and broader IT reform under the new Administration, the question remains – what’s next for CDM? How will the new Administration address CDM as a program and as a construct? How will the funding model start to shift? What challenges remain? What are the synergies between CDM and the government’s IT modernization push via cloud computing?
Join us on May 18 to discuss where we stand with CDM progress to date, how quickly agencies can implement the next phases, and the path forward for the CDM program.

What is CDM?
The Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program, CDM, is a Federal cyber security initiative administered by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the General Services Administration (GSA). The $2 billion CDM program helps government agencies enhance their continuous diagnostic abilities by alerting network managers of potential cyber risks based on threat level.
CDM improves government network security by prioritizing the worst threats within minutes, delivers near-real time results, and lowers the risk of exploitation of government IT systems and networks.
