The Intelligence Advanced Research Project Activity (IARPA) has scheduled a Proposers Day event on May 29 for its Space-Based Machine Automated Recognition Technique (SMART) Program.

According to an IARPA announcement, the event is being scheduled β€œin anticipation of the release of a new solicitation in support of the program,” and will be held in the Washington, D.C., area, from 9am to 5pm. The event will include discussion of research problems the SMART programs hopes to address, and will present teaming opportunities for potential proposers.

The SMART Program issued draft solicitation last month looking for innovative solutions for automated broad-area search, monitoring, and analysis of anthropogenic – or human-related – activities.
